I first of all must say that I felt like cheating this morning and finding a stencil or something because I make notoriously bad snowflakes.....however, in the end I haven't been feeling well and I still had to work and so I sat here in the museum trying to cut out a snowflake....I used some help sites from online and I finally came up with two cutouts that I liked. One I cut with white paper and tried to scan it and alas it wouldn't show up. I ended up putting some blue paper behind it. That worked. The second scan is of the blue cutout I made with the blue paper. Of course that one was backed by the white paper. I made a couple of copies of each scan and I will be working with them. The first one is now ready to share. I hope you all love doing this challenge, because it is a lot more fun than I at first thought it would be. Happy tangling...and thank you Erin!

LeeAnn, I'm so glad you decided to join in! I love how you scanned the snowflakes instead of tracing. The coloring and the tangles you chose make for a magnificent piece. Thanks for taking the Dare.

Yes, I work at a museum....but I wasn't feeling well and I thought to keep myself awake I would work on the challenge. 1) I cut out the snowflake 2) I used the scanner at work to scan it 3) I tangled on a copy of the scan. 4) then I scanned the finished product and posted. I hope that answers your questions. Thank you!

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, clerk, and appreciator of art. Sometimes I try to produce some art myself. Mainly I love the art of others. Doodling has been a big part of my life. Notes were never left unadorned. Now that I have found zentangle....doodling has become more exciting and fun! I hope you enjoy.
