For some reason this challenge does elude me....but challenges are meant to be done and so you see my frustrated effort and that is all I can say.

Feeling better about the tripoli.  I loved the way it looked but couldn't wrap my pen around it. Now I can relax and enjoy. Thank you for your kind thoughts and encouragement. (Barbara, Shelly, and Maria)

Scrapbooking Paper has my attention

It is incredibly fun to tangle on scrapbooking paper. The best reason is that it is so smooth and it has wonderful accepting nature for the micron pen. I secondly love the scrapbooking paper because it often has a string built into it and it offers a brand new way of tangling. I used my micron pen, Staedtler  markers, and a blending marker. It is a wonderful way to tangle.

I am sort of liking the tracing paper!

I bought a roll of paper.... turns out to be tracing paper...... my first thought was of great disappointment. Then I thought I should try it with my tangles anyway. Here is the cool part. I hate using markers because they are so inflexible and hard to blend. I even bought a blending marker in the hopes that I could learn to love them. Still hated the blending and lack of control. Having said this; I have to say I love using them on tracing paper. It is amazingly fun. I think it is the smoothness of the paper. Anyway.... because I must blend I did use the blending marker but I am starting to like markers and that is the point of all of this.  So here are my photos of my first tangles on tracing paper.

Weekly Challenge #27: "Duo-tangle"

We were asked by the Diva to use the specific tangle patterns of Dex and Vertigogh. I have always loved seeing these two patterns in others work but I have not used them much in my own. This was a good challenge for me. I am not totally satisfied with my first effort, but if you know me by now you will know I will try...and probably try again.

My only descriptive word would be "outlandish"!

On this third one I just want to make a note. I purchased a roll of paper thinking it was the opaque type and was excited to cut into it......when I opened it it turned out it was more like tracing paper. At first I was so disappointed and then I thought humm...this might work out after all.

New color first piece

I am enjoying how a zentangle can be developed around color that has already been applied. The color, in the beginning, does not even need to look great and suddenly you feel it could have been placed there after you finished tangling and it was just the way it was meant to be. I really am content with the results of  this new method

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, clerk, and appreciator of  art. Sometimes I try to produce some art myself. Mainly I love the art of others. Doodling has been a big part of my life. Notes were never left unadorned. Now that I have found zentangle....doodling      has become more exciting and fun!  I hope you enjoy.
