Sometimes you just see what you see when the tangle is complete. This one just seems to be chasing the dot.
I guess I was feeling in the mood to go back in my memory last evening. My grandfather had the most wonderful farm. He grew cherries, apricots, peaches, grapes, plums, and wonderful pears. I remember that the pears were amazingly good. They were not soft and mushy, they were harder and crisp like an apple. Maybe I could never wait until they were fully ripe.....but I have finally found the Anjous. Yum!
I am just trying to develop more texturing abilities in my tangles. I do not know if these have any similarities to official patterns I just started repeating. I used the color to try and give the patterns more defined textures. Some of them I really like.
I just was looking through my flickr account and realized that there were a couple of tangles I never put on this site. Because I won't go pro there I will soon not have access to all the photos....and so I think I will post them here for safe keeping. They were done a week or so ago.
One of my favorite zentanglists owns a blog called "Life Imitates Doodles" she is amazing in her ability to tangle. She adds tons of wonderful hints to her site that make our tangling more fun. One of her latest links was about shading methods. Squirkling is one of those mentioned. I gave it a try. To find out more you will find the it here
So I decided to give this betweed challenge on yahoo zentangle group a try. I love betweed. I sort of let it grow out of control. The coloring was a challenge because I started with green....not something I will choose again. The suggestion is: Start with light colors! After giving this challenge a try and struggling with the color I decided to try just using pen and shading to relax.....I came up with the following design....my son says it looks like a lady bug.
The challenge....to leave space between the tangles.....oh boy....that can be a hard one because as people we all like to fill up our spaces.....you should see some areas of my house! However there is a wonderful feeling of freedom in space and it would be good for us to occasionally leave a space for breathing and for freedom of thought! So here is my first try:
This afternoon I wanted to tangle but I felt blocked....so I looked up some new patterns I had never used before. I decided to try some of the patterns developed by Molossus. This is what happened!

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, clerk, and appreciator of art. Sometimes I try to produce some art myself. Mainly I love the art of others. Doodling has been a big part of my life. Notes were never left unadorned. Now that I have found zentangle....doodling has become more exciting and fun! I hope you enjoy.
