Weekly Challenge #138: "Fun with Borders"
Given the idea from Rick and Maria, Laura challenged us to have fun with borders. She linked us to zentangle blog page and I quickly proceeded to take photos of inspirational border designs that I found in my house. I made a collage of them along with my tile. It was way fun! Thanks to you ~ Laura ~ and ~Rick and Maria ~for a fabulous Monday morning.
Two dares because last week was my birthday and I went out to spend the most wonderful day with my family. It wasn't bad turning 60 at all! I hope you all have a wonderful week.
I had a hard time wrapping my head around this one.....but it was a fun challenge and it is fun to get the contrast of the two different tangles playing on the page.
Hooray for the challenge ! I love color and I really love controlled color, however this morning I took my inspiration from Laura's absolutely amazing tile. I decided to do a watercolor wash.... I must say here that washing watercolor is not my forte. I then looked for a string inside of the wash and this is the result of a very fun morning just experimenting with color and design. Thanks to Laura and to all of you who are my inspirations! Happy tangling!
What a fun dare template! I used a see through paper and just chose the lines at random. It is a bit zany and it was a fun zen moment. Thank you Erin!
What a fun pattern is "Well" ! Thanks to Rick and Maria for the continued inspiration and joy of zentangling. Thanks to Laura also, for her thoughtful challenges! I would like to apologize to all of you for my lack of comments in the past month or so, I still take the time to marvel at your wonderful works of zentangled art. You are all amazing! Life has been so busy and trying to give each of you the knowledge that I appreciate and admire your zentangled beauties just hasn't been possible. I hope that as winter approaches I will be able to comment more faithfully on how I feel about what you share each week. Your kind thoughts always lift my spirits and I would like to give you that same joy of communication from like minds. I hope you all have a wonderful week!
I finally have realized that it is okay if a week goes by and I cannot participate in the dares. Sometimes life happens and so you just take a deep breath and count your blessings. I do zentangle most every day, but if I do not feel inspired it is okay. I enjoyed this dare, it was a lovely template and using only one pen is mostly my style anyway. I hope you all enjoy this dare as much as I did!
After playing around with this pattern I just had to turn it organic.....geometrically I will show you why I went organic but I have run out of time this morning. It was a fun pattern to explore! Thanks to Traci and to Laura for the challenge!
I am a wife, mother, grandmother, clerk, and appreciator of art. Sometimes I try to produce some art myself. Mainly I love the art of others. Doodling has been a big part of my life. Notes were never left unadorned. Now that I have found zentangle....doodling has become more exciting and fun! I hope you enjoy.
