Weekly Challenge #36: New Tangle Assunta

I was again in the mood to play with my scrap-booking paper. It just makes a great string when I find myself at a loss for a new design. Assunta is a challenging pattern for me. I have to try continuously to keep my directions straight. I think that Maria was amazingly clear in her instructions and I had to follow them exactly to get it to be anyway close to the assunta. All my fellow tanglers....I am excited to see how you make a star out of assunta. It is going to be a great week. I have been asked how I get my colors and shading. I am going to include a link to my coloring tutorial. It is here

Oh, just WOW! I always love your work, but somehow these are especially appealing.
The purples and huge bubbles making negative spaces.
The apple core, and the Orange Slice all filled with Assunta.

Beautiful! LOVE the circles and the color looks fabulous! What do you use when you tangle with color...pencils, pens? How do you add shadowing too? I think I might have to give this a try once I find out how you use color.

So many fun ways to use this tangle. I have a really hard time with it too - somehow each teardrop shape is a different size and shape! I'm inspired to try again.

Zentangle is fun!
