Your son is absolutely right, it gives the zendala a very intriging something. Your work is great as always.

I agree, your son gave you a great advise. It makes the zendalas very interesting, and besides that one can see what one can achive by making some shades. In the first zendala I don't miss the shading part, on the other hand on the second one I miss the shaded part. The shaded part of the zendala looks softer, and to me finished.

I love your son's idea of shading half! Your work is always so nice. Love the Kuke flowers on the first one!

Very effective - it looks like a dark shadow over part of the zendala, in a way.... I love your work, but it's rather nice to see some of it unshaded because it's so different and the detail is so much easier to see.

Both are gorgeous. Your son had a very innovative idea which worked out beautifully. It reminds me of the earth partly in shadow.

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, clerk, and appreciator of art. Sometimes I try to produce some art myself. Mainly I love the art of others. Doodling has been a big part of my life. Notes were never left unadorned. Now that I have found zentangle....doodling has become more exciting and fun! I hope you enjoy.
