My son talked me into only shading half of each zendala dare......crazy but it works.

Your son is absolutely right, it gives the zendala a very intriging something. Your work is great as always. I agree, your son gave you a great advise. It makes the zendalas very interesting, and besides that one can see what one can achive by making some shades. In the first zendala I don't miss the shading part, on the other hand on the second one I miss the shaded part. The shaded part of the zendala looks softer, and to me finished.

Very effective - it looks like a dark shadow over part of the zendala, in a way.... I love your work, but it's rather nice to see some of it unshaded because it's so different and the detail is so much easier to see. 5/22/2013 12:31:23 am
Both are gorgeous. Your son had a very innovative idea which worked out beautifully. It reminds me of the earth partly in shadow.

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, clerk, and appreciator of art. Sometimes I try to produce some art myself. Mainly I love the art of others. Doodling has been a big part of my life.
