And Laura, I am so happy to have the challenges each week. Thanks to you too!
This one was inspired by the pattern in the photo above. Maria Vennekens has issued a challenge, as a guest at I am the Diva,....and wants the thoughts of how it worked out for us, well Maria I must tell you that my first thought was, is there a pattern that hasn't been made? With so many people developing patterns and tangleations I am sure it is almost impossible not to step upon someones toes. Keeping that in mind and knowing that I might not be the first to step out some patterns I do want to share this experience with you. First of all I took a google journey into patterns of nature, then I looked around my house. The 2 pieces I did today were influenced by those searches. So here goes. The first pattern I found was through google and here is the picture I found: And below is my tile And the step out The second inspiration And my crazy response to what I saw And the step out and it was zen because I did free flow after the first attempts of figuring out a pattern I had a pattern and so I didn't have to worry any longer. Maybe I didn't do the challenge right. Maria, tell me if I should try again. Thanks for the fun!
And Laura, I am so happy to have the challenges each week. Thanks to you too!

Both are great LeeAnn!!! I think you did very well finding patterns around you. I tried to make some forms that are no tangles, but that's hard.

I just knew you would love this one Leeanne! Your creative juices would be flowing from the word GO! And I love what you have produced. Both "tangles" are great and I will adopt them myself. Thanks a lot. I bet you come up with some more before the week is out too!!

I love your creative work. You have a good eye to deconstruct the patterns.

Leanne, the blue spiky tile is just gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing your step-outs, but I know I could never match your style or talent. All are beautiful and as usual so inspiring! Your work is always one of the first I look at. It's great to see your inspirations as well - it makes me take a closer look at what's around me and reminds me to take photo's when something catches my eyes.

You have certainly captured the essence of this challenge. Your art is beautiful, as is your inspiration pieces, and you came up with 3 gorgeous new tangles. I'm quite envious. I haven't even started yet as I've been on vacation until today.

Lovely work, LeeAnn. But of course, there is no shape that has no equivalent somewhere, in nature or manmade. It's an illusion to even dream of actually inventing a new pattern. The reality in zerntangle comes for me in the deconstruction of patterns, and in their interpretation. And you are truly an expert!

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, clerk, and appreciator of art. Sometimes I try to produce some art myself. Mainly I love the art of others. Doodling has been a big part of my life. Notes were never left unadorned. Now that I have found zentangle....doodling has become more exciting and fun! I hope you enjoy.
