The challenge this week was to Breathe, relax and smile. I accomplished 2 of the 3 with this first try. I forced myself to relax and breathe deeply....but the smile did not come. This task was a bit of a comfort to me however. This week my dearest of friends tragically lost her grandson to a school playground accident. He was 9 years old. He was full of promise and her greatest delight. I kept saying to myself as I tangled this morning. "Just Breathe" and that would be my advise to Patti this morning... until the joy returns to your life....."just breathe......my dearest friend.....just breathe! I love you! I can't resist....Laura, only choose a couple for the slide show. I don't mean to do so many....it is just that I am addicted to challenges! Sorry.

My heart goes out to your friend. My sweet neighbour lost her first child when he was only 18 months old to a minor accident at his babysitter's home. Three years later we are still barely able to speak of him. There is so much symbolically happening in your illustration; your friend is fortunate to have someone care so deeply that her sorrows are shared.

Oh my dear! My heart fell to my stomach. I have 3 children, around that age. I can't imagine the pain your friend, the child's parents and even the children and teachers that were witness.

My thoughts are with your friend in this tradgedy. What a good reminder it is to breathe and be grateful for what we have because it can be gone in an instant. Your tangle is beautiful.

What a sad story... how often our life events get woven into tangles. They are so healing. Yes... remembering to breathe. [hug]

I'll pray for your friend and the whole family. Loosing a child is such a tragedy. Looking at the first ZT you created I felt all the healing energy you put into it. Shall it help your friends. The coloring is so stunning as ever. You mastered this technique… (*bowing low*)

So sorry for your recent loss and that of your friend. It's always hard to lose someone, it is especially hard to lose a young one. *sigh* It's been a rough week indeed. Your tangles are beautiful! I'm glad you have that distraction to help you through this time. Beautiful work!

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, clerk, and appreciator of art. Sometimes I try to produce some art myself. Mainly I love the art of others. Doodling has been a big part of my life. Notes were never left unadorned. Now that I have found zentangle....doodling has become more exciting and fun! I hope you enjoy.
