I love my new journals! I spend time in them almost every day. Sometimes I am listening to something and I go back to my note taking days and a word will appear next to my art. I used a black tile to take out the word because generally it has nothing to do with the tangle. These are 3 of my favorites.

Today I was just experimenting to see what color pencil would look like on Blackboard. This is what happened. It sort of looks like tatting to me . The colors do not blend as well as they do on regular papers....but it is intriguing and loads of fun!
I ordered some paper for ATC practice and received some textured papers meant for acrylic painting. I really do not enjoy working with acrylics and so I decided to just try tangling on them in the usual way. As I colored it gave a whole new dimension to the look of the tangles. It was fun giving it a try!
One of my favorite zentanglists sent me the most wonderful journal. The paper is amazing. I am almost afraid to begin..... in case I do not make wonderful tangles in a wonderful book. I am never sure that a new tangle will make me smile. However, if you never try you cannot achieve. And so..... here is my first tangle!
When I made my first to ATC's it was at the request of Rooike. They have been traded....so Phine I am making more for you to choose from. This is the first one.
So this morning I woke up early. Really early! However, Laura was up eariler and the challenge was already up. I am so glad she chose Mooka. It is a lovely tangle and I am excited to see everyone work with this one. I found it fun and exciting. So here is my first try!
An ATC is a artist trading card..... not large.... the size of real trading cards but they are traded by artists all over the world. I have never participated but I have been asked to several times and i decided to give it a try. I will show you the two I have made.
While listening to the most fabulous conference I felt inspired to create. It helps me to listen with more intensive hearing..... appreciating the messages given with more understanding and joy!

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, clerk, and appreciator of art. Sometimes I try to produce some art myself. Mainly I love the art of others. Doodling has been a big part of my life. Notes were never left unadorned. Now that I have found zentangle....doodling has become more exciting and fun! I hope you enjoy.
